Kentucky & The Communities
Kentucky's diverse geological and geographical landscape presents an extraordinary oil exploration and production opportunity. The western part of the state is part of the Illinois Basin. This area is flat and known for its vast row crop fields of corn and soybeans. Moving eastward the geography and geology changes to rolling hills on the surface in South Central KY and finally to steep hills/mountains in Eastern KY. The eastern part of the state is part of the Appalachian Basin and has a long production history especially for natural gas. Our primary area for focus is South Central KY. This area is unique as it lays almost in between the Illinois and Appalachian Basins. The Cincinnatti Arch runs near this area and is considered a major geological feature for the region. Entwined with the complex geology of the Appalachian Basin, Kentucky's oil history is marked by significant breakthroughs and discoveries. Hornet Corporation is at the forefront of this exploration, which is actively advancing the development of strategic locations throughout Kentucky. Using modern technology and innovative completion techniques, Hornet's efforts go beyond extracting oil; they transform the entire energy production landscape. Although Kentucky has a rich history of oil and natural gas production, Hornet is firmly committed to future development, involving developing known productive strata in the region and evaluating the potential development of deeper untapped formations.
